No Stick Too Big

Sticks….not usually my favourite thing to play with as I usually prefer to chew them up into little wood chips and eat them (much to mummy’s frustration).  However today was one of those days where I made an exception.

I found the best stick! Mummy said it was really too big to be a stick and was more like a branch. She actually thought it was too big for me to pick up and carry along but I proved her wrong!

Not only did I carry the stick but I also swam along with it and fetched it in from the water!! Mummy was very impressed! She kept throwing it back in the water for me over and over again. It was so much fun for mummy and me. Mummy was laughing so much but she stopped when I got so excited with my big stick that I started to chew it.

Mummy decided I needed a time out because I wouldn’t stop chewing it. She was worried about my recent dental work getting damaged but I told her not to worry. My teeth are stronger than my root canal!  Mummy was not convinced. She said something about paying a lot of money for the root canal and not wanting to have to do so again because I broke it with sticks. She tried to take the stick away from me but I showed her how strong my root canal is by holding onto that stick with all my might!! I was right! My root canal was stronger than mummy’s arm!!Eventually mummy won though. As mummy always does. She decided that it was time to shake off all the water and head home. I didn’t want to go home just because mummy lost the game of tug. I wanted to stay and swim and play with sticks!! But mummy said no, so we had to leave.

Don’t worry, I made sure that mummy was within reach when I shook myself. If only I had a camera to take pictures of her face when I shook. It was even better than the face she made when I won the game of tug!!
