Sun, Sea, Sand and Snooze

It’s another hot day so, first thing this morning, daddy and I went straight to the beach. It was a very low tide so we were able to play in the rock pools. They are rarely uncovered so this was a special treat, even though it wasn’t a treat I could eat.

Daddy said that we would find all sorts of things in the rock pools. So I used my highly tuned Labrador Retriever senses to find something extra special for mummy’s upcoming birthday.

I searched all the way to the left….And all the way to the right….And finally I found something extra special. Driftwood!! I hoped daddy would let me take it home because it was the best piece of driftwood ever and I just knew mummy would love it as much as I did. After all that search and rescue practice on the beach, I needed a nap. So daddy set me up outside on the back deck.
