Easter Egg Hunting Dog

Today is Easter Sunday and that means EASTER EGGS!! I’m not sure what Easter eggs are but mummy gets very excited about them so they must be something very good. Apparently a bunny hides all the Easter eggs and we have to go and find them. That’s strange because eggs don’t come from rabbits…..

Mummy was especially excited today because the Easter bunny had hidden eggs especially for daddy and me! So despite the lockdown because of the Coronavirus, we got to search all over the house for the surprise eggs!

The Easter Bunny left clues as to where the eggs were hidden…

Our first clue led us to our toy boxes, where daddy found a chocolate Easter egg and another clue!

The second clue took us on a journey to the lower deck. Daddy and I were a little unsure of this Easter egg hunting thing…we made our way slowly downstairs and tentatively looked behind the pillows on the outdoor furniture.
“Where is it daddy?” “Here it is, Milo!”

More chocolate bunnies and more clues lead us to our cosy corner, where I love to hang out with mummy and daddy in the evening sun. Daddy was looking and looking in the bushes but he couldn’t see the Easter egg staring him right in the face! I kept pointing it out and he kept pointing in the same general direction but kept missing the egg. I could hardly contain myself!

Finally, daddy found the egg and another clue. He really does need to improve his hunting senses. His nose and eyes are clearly not as sharp as mine! However, now daddy and I were starting to get the hang of this game. We ran downstairs to the garage to look for the next egg and there it was! Perched on the dumbbells!

Now daddy and I were getting very excited. We literally sprinted back upstairs to the cactus planters on our back deck and finally we found not an egg but an Easter dog biscuit for me!! Now this game was getting really good!

This clue told us that the next treat or egg was very close. Daddy and I ran to the front of the house and there by the fountain was another treat for me!!

“Give it, daddy!!”

The next chocolate egg and clue was in the cupboard by the wine fridge….

Then we ran downstairs to the TV room to find more Easter dog biscuits and another clue! I was running around so fast as I could hardly contain my excitement!

Then it was back upstairs to the lounge where daddy rifled through all the throw blankets making a right mess, much to mummy’s chagrin.

Find it Milo!

Finally we had our last clue and we both ran up to the bedroom and there on my bed was the final Easter egg! A whole box of Easter dog treats!

Daddy wanted to keep them for later but I wasn’t having any of that!

The prize is mine! I mean, ours!

Daddy and I went out onto the front patio, where we took stock of all our Easter booty.

This Easter egg hunt is the best game of “fetch” ever!!!
